Menlo Soft · TellCrew

Run a team of coding agents from one window.

Menlo Soft is a small software company. We make tools that help you get more done. The first one is TellCrew: a Mac app that runs your Claude Code and Codex agents across all your projects, lets them work together, and keeps you in the loop from wherever you are.

The TellCrew window: projects in the sidebar, an agent named api with a waiting approval card for writing a file, after it traded messages with an agent named web.

01 · What it is

Your agents in one place, still working when you look away.

TellCrew runs Claude Code and Codex agents on your Mac. Add a project folder, start an agent in it, and chat with it like you would in a terminal. When it wants to run something risky, it asks first, and you approve or deny it right in the chat.

Agents keep running when you close the window. Come back later and the whole history is there: every message, every command, every approval and who gave it.

02 · What it does

Made for running several agents at once.

  1. Every project in one place

The sidebar holds your projects in groups, with each git worktree as its own folder and each agent in its own tab. When an agent needs an approval, finishes a turn, or hits an error, a mark shows on its folder and group. Nothing waiting on you gets buried.

The sidebar: two projects, each with its main folder, a worktree named checkout, and an agent per folder. The api agent shows a mark because it's waiting on you.
  2. Agents that work together

Agents can find each other and send messages. One can ask you to start a helper for a side task. Each ends its work with a hand-back: what it did, what's next, and what you need to decide.

A message from another agent is marked as one, and it never carries your authority.

The web agent's chat: it asks the api agent whether /health is ready, the message is delivered, and api's answer comes back as a message from another agent.
  3. Reach it from your other Macs

A relay links your Macs, encrypted end to end, with no ports to open. Start, steer and approve agents on your desk Mac from your laptop, and they keep working while you're away from either.

On a laptop, the chat of an agent named tests that runs on another Mac, studio-mac. The laptop asked it to write a test, it did, and a strip says: On studio-mac, through your relay.
  4. A short setup

Install the app. Add a folder. Start an agent. It uses the Claude Code or Codex you already have set up, and it never asks for or stores those credentials.

The new agent dialog: provider, name, purpose, approval mode, model, and whether to work in this folder or a new worktree.
